Look at that little pig grabbing all the food. 😚 Ben has such pretty eyes and he is so careful with his horns. I guess he was just not hungry. He was making sure it was really you, sniffing your hand.

Well, I realize my cousin from Ohio in The Klan was down here this weekend. He follows me. I do not know him. After I went to Ohio recently to buy some property (which I was blocked from buying), he came down here to alert the Klan that I am a N-gg--! I heard the blowout argument with his aunt up there. I was going to renovate the house from the Trump Association which I was invited to visit in Austin awhile ago. (My doctor father was different from the English hillbillies of Applachia). So I did my DNA with National Geographic here. Everyone is wrong. I found out I am Cossack Russian, the people of 1864 (and also German and British). False alarm.

Hand feeding Javier the javelina (aka "piggy") for the first time. It has taken over a year to gain his trust to this level. Ben & the Javelina are an unlikely pair. Ben must really like the small that small javelina?

Notice how smart and polite Javier is. He makes sure Ben is not interested before he takes the 2nd one.

I noticed Bens RF hoof is crossing and wondered if a farrier comes and does his trimming once in a while? I guess because he is not roaming the range they do not wear down?

John Wells said...

DEL...you are correct about Ben's hooves not wearing down. I trim them occasionally with a big set of hoof nippers...he only lets me do it when he is laying down. I have been trying to get to that long one for a couple of weeks but every time I go out, he has his front legs tucked underneath himself. If they get too long they just end up breaking off at a good spot on their own before causing him any real trouble.
